About this Site

Background

This site was created as a supplement for a round table discussion on locating archives and managing data, a session affectionately called “Haystacks Full of Needles.”  The session took place as part of a day long colloqium on archives sponsored by the Medieval and Early Modern Institute (MEMI) at the University of Alberta on May 18, 2004.  The session participants included Dr. Andrew Gow, History; Dr. John Langdon, History; Dr. Natalia Pylypiuk, Modern Languages and Cultural Studies; Rebecca Adell, PhD Candidate, History; and Sheila Christie, PhD Candidate, English.
