Career History

·        2004-Current, Graduate Teaching Assistant – Primary Instructor, University of Alberta, Department of English.  English 112, English Literature in Historical Perspective, thirty-eight students.  Responsibilities include preparing lectures, leading three one-hour classes each week, marking essays and exams, and consulting with students.

·        2001-Current, PhD Candidate, University of Alberta, Department of English. Primary field: medieval drama; Secondary field: popular culture.

·        2000-2001, Instructor, Grant MacEwan College. Responsibilities included teaching English 111 (Communications) and English 101 (Critical Reading and Writing).

·        January-April, 2000, Research Assistant (Stage Manager/Assistant Director), University of British Columbia.  Responsibilities included coordinating actors and technical crews, leading warm-ups and rehearsals, and providing general assistance to the director.

·        1998-2000, Teaching Assistant, University of British Columbia. Responsibilities included leading a one hour discussion group of thirty students once a week, marking essays and exams, and consulting with students.
